As a Senior Data Scientist at Gojek, you will lead analytical projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies that improve our services and operations.

What You Will Do

1. Design and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to solve complex business problems, optimize service delivery, and predict user behavior, utilizing techniques like deep learning, natural language processing, and time-series analysis.
2. Partner with stakeholders including product managers, engineers, and executives to understand business goals and translate them into actionable insights, providing strategic recommendations for growth and efficiency.
3. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts, promoting best practices and fostering a collaborative environment.
4. Develop and enforce data governance and quality standards, oversee data pipeline development, and ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
5. Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate changes in product features and user interactions, analyzing results to inform optimization efforts.
6. Create impactful visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
7. Stay updated on the latest trends in data science and apply innovative techniques to enhance analytical capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.

What You Will Need

1. Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
2. 5-7 years of experience in data science or related areas, preferably in on-demand services or tech industries.
3. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Scala, and experience with data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn).
4. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and their application to real-world problems.
5. Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
6. A passion for continuous learning and innovation in the evolving field of data science.
