Job description

Assist the Head of Brand in purchasing, merchandising, inventory management and channel/ retail store management functions of the assigned brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend seasonal sales meetings and plan merchandise assortment with category mix and range planning based on OTB and historical data.

  • Selection of appropriate styles for order placement after buying presentation

  • Coordinate shipment schedules with overseas and internal shipping departments according to payment plans.

  • Execute allocation and manage the consolidation of stocks

  • Review inventory and analyse merchandise sell-through to propose action plans for slow-moving merchandise & future reorders

  • Review weekly local replenishments to ensure requested orders are in line with potential sell-through

  • Propose promotional items to support marketing campaigns

  • Build strong rapport and open communication with the retail team

  • Provide advice to create an optimal retail brand experience through VM change and regular store visits

  • Analyse sales results and prepare management reports for monthly reporting

  • Maintain data in the backend system to ensure all information is accurately & timely uploaded

  • Conduct weekly warehouse visits to audit loose stock items/ageing stocks and propose an action plan

  • Assist with warranty claims where necessary

  • Conduct market research to keep industry trends and competitors’ strategies up-to-date.

  • Support in events or new shop openings

  • Any other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of working experience in a Buyer or Merchandising role.

  • Proven ability in sales & order forecasting and inventory management for multiple brands.

  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical, organised and possess an eye for detail.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work individually as well as in a team environment.

  • An interest in outdoor sports or an interest in learning the technical aspects of products would be an added advantage.
