Position
The Assistant Visual Merchandising (VM) Production Manager oversees the end-to-end production process of VM assets, ensuring seamless execution from conceptualization to installation. This role requires collaboration with vendors, internal teams, and regional stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure VM assets are correctly prepared and produced as per specifications.
- Ensure VM assets are manufactured, shipped, delivered, and installed in accordance with brand guidelines, meeting quality and aesthetic standards.
- Review and approve technical drawings from contractors to ensure alignment with design requirements and production feasibility.
- Create mockups of designs and layouts using Photoshop where necessary.
- Identify and source vendors for production needs, managing Order Forms and Purchase Orders to facilitate procurement.
- Liaise with regional teams to understand collateral requirements, gather feedback, and align production with market needs.
- Provide proactive updates on delivery, replacements, and production statuses to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Strategic Store Planning, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to execute VM rollouts successfully.
- Manage annual department budgets for VM assets across SEA markets by monitoring and reconciling expenses.
- Anticipate and plan for SEA market business needs through accurate tracking and timely reporting.
- Partner with logistics teams to address challenges in shipping delicate props and explore alternative materials without compromising design integrity.
- Ensure smooth transitions between VM launch phases to optimize execution and efficiency.
- Negotiate costs, contracts, and delivery schedules with external partners to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Conduct bidding processes for projects to ensure cost control.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on innovative materials, techniques, and sustainable production methods.
- Support all VM activities within the region as needed.
Profile
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in VM production management within retail or luxury industries.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and cross-functional team interactions.
- Knowledge of production techniques, materials, and quality control processes.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to logistical challenges.
- Leadership experience managing teams and freelancers.
- Proficiency in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
