Position

The Assistant Visual Merchandising (VM) Production Manager oversees the end-to-end production process of VM assets, ensuring seamless execution from conceptualization to installation. This role requires collaboration with vendors, internal teams, and regional stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure VM assets are correctly prepared and produced as per specifications.
  2. Ensure VM assets are manufactured, shipped, delivered, and installed in accordance with brand guidelines, meeting quality and aesthetic standards.
  3. Review and approve technical drawings from contractors to ensure alignment with design requirements and production feasibility.
  4. Create mockups of designs and layouts using Photoshop where necessary.
  5. Identify and source vendors for production needs, managing Order Forms and Purchase Orders to facilitate procurement.
  6. Liaise with regional teams to understand collateral requirements, gather feedback, and align production with market needs.
  7. Provide proactive updates on delivery, replacements, and production statuses to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  8. Collaborate with Strategic Store Planning, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to execute VM rollouts successfully.
  9. Manage annual department budgets for VM assets across SEA markets by monitoring and reconciling expenses.
  10. Anticipate and plan for SEA market business needs through accurate tracking and timely reporting.
  11. Partner with logistics teams to address challenges in shipping delicate props and explore alternative materials without compromising design integrity.
  12. Ensure smooth transitions between VM launch phases to optimize execution and efficiency.
  13. Negotiate costs, contracts, and delivery schedules with external partners to enhance quality and efficiency.
  14. Conduct bidding processes for projects to ensure cost control.
  15. Conduct market research to stay updated on innovative materials, techniques, and sustainable production methods.
  16. Support all VM activities within the region as needed.

Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. 5-8 years of experience in VM production management within retail or luxury industries.
  2. Strong project management skills to handle multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and cross-functional team interactions.
  4. Knowledge of production techniques, materials, and quality control processes.
  5. Experience in budget management and cost control.
  6. Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to logistical challenges.
  7. Leadership experience managing teams and freelancers.
  8. Proficiency in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
