JOB SUMMARY

Areas of responsibility include Restaurants/Bars and Room Service, if applicable. Supervises daily restaurant operations, assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards, and supports servers and hosts during peak periods. Focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. Determines training needs and implements development plans.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related fields.
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in food and beverage or related fields.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Day-to-Day Operations
  • Supervises and manages employees, understands all roles to perform duties in their absence.
  • Maintains service and sanitation standards across all areas.
  • Reviews staffing to meet guest service, operational, and financial goals.
Leading Food and Beverage Team
  • Uses interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and motivate; demonstrates integrity and leads by example.
  • Builds trust and cooperation among team members.
  • Coaches and mentors staff; sets goals and organizes work efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and sanitation standards.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Provides outstanding service to enhance guest satisfaction and retention.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and guests; handles complaints professionally.
  • Monitors service quality and implements continuous improvements.
Managing Human Resources Activities
  • Provides guidance, sets performance standards, and develops training programs.
  • Ensures fair treatment of employees and strives to improve retention.
  • Encourages feedback and recognizes employee achievements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provides information and analyzes data to solve problems.
  • Supports floor staff during busy times and supervises operations in absence of the Assistant Manager.
  • Oversees financial activities including purchasing and invoicing.
