The Leadership Institute is looking for passionate part-time Generative AI Tutors to teach teens about AI concepts. This role offers a unique opportunity for current university students or fresh graduates to gain teaching experience while inspiring the next generation. Tutors will conduct lessons on topics like machine learning and natural language processing, fostering a supportive environment for learning.
We are seeking passionate and motivated current university students or fresh graduates or current student from the following universities:
Join our team as part-time Generative AI Tutors for teens (ages 14-15). This is a fantastic opportunity for current students or fresh graduates in Computer Science, Technology or AI to gain teaching experience while sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for AI with the next generation of learners. As a tutor, you will conduct both online and offline lessons, covering topics such as machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven creative technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging lessons on Generative AI topics like language models (e.g., GPT-3), and AI-generated tools for teens aged 14 – 15.
- Deliver interactive lesson plans and activities tailored to the interests and learning styles of teens.
- Foster a fun and supportive classroom environment, both virtually and in-person, where students feel comfortable engaging with AI concepts and asking questions.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and assess their progress throughout the course.
- Adapt your teaching approach to suit both online and in-person class settings.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in AI to ensure your teaching material is current and relevant.
- Encourage creativity and critical thinking, helping students understand how AI can be applied in real-world scenarios.
Qualifications:
- A recent degree or currently a student in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Understanding of Generative AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and AI tools like GPT-3, DALL·E, etc.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, engaging, and relatable way.
- Comfortable teaching in both online and offline environments (in-person classes and virtual platforms like Zoom etc.).
- Passion for technology and education, and a desire to inspire and guide teens as they explore the world of AI.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with AI tools, coding, or data science is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching (even informally) is a plus.
- Ability to adapt lessons and content for different learning styles and environments.
