Job Scope

  • Assist the Procurement/ Inventory Manager to prepare annual budgets and develop stocking and purchasing plans.

  • Provide procurement support internally and to overseas satellite workshop responsively and provide appropriate solution for all.

  • Work closely with the QHSE Manager/ MR to resolve quality and HSE issues pertaining to external providers.

  • Analyze, plan, source, negotiate and obtain preferential prices and discounts in purchasing and outsourcing of services.

  • Maintain material/ consumables inventory in an optimized way and ensure smooth flow of the supplies for manufacturing and servicing purposes.

  • Ensure proper control and posting of goods in and out of the store such as raw material, inserts, welding consumables/ powder, tooling, grinding wheel, torch and spare parts.

  • Assist in planning and conducting stock counts and performing stock adjustment and valuation.

  • Prepare purchase orders for approval in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.

  • Coordinate with shipping, logistics and courier service companies on booking arrangement, pick-up dates, delivery and shipping (air, ocean, and courier) of goods/ products to secure timely shipment for incoming and outgoing to satellite workshops.

  • Ensure submission of necessary verified documents to the finance department which includes purchase requisition form, purchase order, original delivery order, packing list, original supplier invoice, bill of lading, airway bill and others as required.

  • Communicate to the supplier/ external provider on the verification or validation activities that the organization, or its customer, intends to perform at the external providers’ premises.

  • Ensure company and QHSE policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

  • Performother assignment and duties as and when required.

Requirement

  • NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Business Administration or equivalent

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in similar role (purchasing / logistics / inventory)
