Vice President, Regional Product Manager - Capital Markets, Consumer Banking Group

Business Function: As a leading bank in Asia and a market leader in consumer banking, DBS offers a full spectrum of products and services to help our customers realize their dreams at every life stage. Our financial solutions are best-in-class and tailored to your needs. We are seeking a dynamic candidate to join the Capital Markets products team within our Regional Consumer Banking investment business. The candidate will collaborate with consumer investment product teams across seven locations (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, India, Thailand) to grow revenue by developing multi-year product strategies, sourcing top-tier products from internal and external partners, and leveraging expertise from PB product teams. The role also involves performance measurement to enhance sales effectiveness for Treasures & Retail segments. The product scope includes Equities and Equity derivatives, Interest rate/currency linked structured products, FX, Dual Currency Investments, and Bonds.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate new product ideas, develop expansion initiatives, oversee process coordination (including system enhancements and infrastructure development), and collaborate with Product Due Diligence and the COO office to secure regional approval before submission to the Investment Product Council.
  2. Define and implement the regional capital market product proposition for Treasures & Retail clients, ensuring alignment with regional practices on Product & Advisory frameworks for higher-wealth segments.
  3. Disseminate regional guidelines, practices, and regulatory information to local teams, and promote regional standardization through knowledge sharing and process alignment.
  4. Monitor product revenue metrics across markets, identify issues, propose solutions, and proactively seek new opportunities to grow revenue.
  5. Collaborate with the regional platform team on system implementations and enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and identifying future improvement opportunities.
  6. Develop the annual business plan with management, setting goals for service, market strategy, competitive advantage, profitability, and revenue, and track progress against these goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7-10 years' experience in wealth management product roles, including P&L ownership, with deep knowledge of capital market products, industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and market trends.
  • CFA Charter holder or candidate is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, product lifecycle management, and platform/system implementation across multiple Asia-Pacific markets.
  • Meticulous, driven, analytical, process-oriented, and capable of leading and executing business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and a collaborative approach to managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve regional investment product targets and strategies.
