About the Role

The Director/ Associate Director, Corporate Coverage is responsible for relationship management of a portfolio of Large Local Corporates in Singapore. In addition to managing an existing client portfolio, there will be a focus on origination and expanding relationships with the large Singapore local corporates as well as Temasek-linked companies including supporting their growth into ANZ's network of countries including Australia and New Zealand.

This entails leadership in owning and driving synergy and coordination across different Product teams, Enablement teams and ANZ's global network to deepen customer engagement and cross-sell to achieve financial and returns targets. It is essential for the person to be proactive and holistic in managing the business across various aspects, connecting closely with the relevant stakeholders to drive coverage / distribution, risk management, product development / engagement, and operations alignment.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong credit, banking products and business development skills.

What will your day look like?

As a Associate Director / Director , Corporate Coverage Singapore , your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and deepen the client strategy and target market - acquisition, maintenance, up-tiering - in line with the broader International/Institutional Division/ANZ strategy, and in collaboration with risk, product and operations partners while aligning to country and divisional objectives.
  • Map client needs to internal capabilities across sector, risk, operations and product functions and drive capabilities/ functionality development to ensure an excellent client experience.
  • Responsible for ensuring KYC, AML and Credit reviews of accounts under management.
  • Working with product, Research & Analysis, risk and network colleagues in collaborative manner to deliver client financial results.
  • Lead direct and indirect team members by role modelling behaviours and ANZ values and act as true ambassador for the business both internally and externally.
  • Adhering to the Bank's credit policies and standards regarding approval, reporting and documentation.
  • Ongoing vigilance for early signs of credit quality deterioration and taking appropriate action.
  • Monitoring quality and integrity of data and analysis of accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with group standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong understanding of the breadth and complexity of the corporate client base, and the differentiated but scalable solutions that are required for addressing client needs and has the skills to communicate and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing clients in the Commercial Real Estate sector is preferred.
  • Strong credit skills proven by role involved.
  • Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong team player with positive mindset.
