Responsibilities

• Develop ETL strategy and ETL logic.
• Conduct analysis of requirements for analytics use cases to determine the data mapping required.
• Develop data models from conceptual to logical and physical, or support the leader to design the data model.
• Drive conversations with customer project team members to obtain the outputs required for ETL development.
• Develop unit test scripts, system integration test scripts, and user acceptance test scripts.
• Conduct QA on ETL results performed by other data engineers in the team.
• Optimize ETL logic that has been developed.
• Responsible for testing and validating data during UAT.
• Fix ETL code issues and perform regression testing.

About you

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalent from a recognized university.
• Experience with Databricks.
• At least 3 to 5 years of development experience with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Strong command of SQL, ability to write stored procedures, SSIS, T-SQL from scratch.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines without continuous supervision.
• Knowledge of TDD, testing concepts, and test automation tools such as Selenium is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and configuration.
• Programming experience with Python, C#, PowerShell.
• Good to have experience in designing and building data visualization dashboards.
• Experience in consulting and working with business and technical stakeholders is desirable.
• Candidates with team management experience will be considered for a Team Lead role.
