Job description

K+S Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is the regional sales hub of K+S Minerals and Agriculture and is serving the Asia Pacific region with a wide range of potassium and magnesium fertilizers and potassium, magnesium and sodium chloride salts for as industrial, animal or food ingredient or for pharmaceutical and health care applications.


The advertised position will focus on our regional sales activities in the fertilizer sector in Southeast Asia (S.E.A). This position is offering an excellent opportunity to be responsible for an interesting industry segment giving the chance to interact with a broad spectre of customers. K+S Asia Pacific has the endeavour to develop key markets in the region for its fertilizer commodities and specialties.


The successful candidate should be a professional responsible for the successful leadership and management of the company’s business.


Key Responsibilities:

1. General Management

  • Development and implementation of measures to achieve all corporate goals based on the group strategy.
  • Financial management and creation of economic transparency as well as monitoring of balance sheets to ensure profitability.
  • Efficient and profit-increasing market development within the Regional Sales Units regions as well as the development of permanent competitive advantages through a growth-oriented market position.
  • Expansion of the complementary business to use synergies (local products/sourcing/sales).
  • Maintaining and increasing customer satisfaction to secure sustainable sales.
  • Ensuring the structures for the implementation/compliance with all internal company requirements (e.g. regulations, guidelines, standards) as well as all legal regulations, ordinances, statues and country-specific requirements.
  • Supervises and stirrs all company’s operations, people and ventures in order to maintain and grow business.

2. Commercial Management

  • Development and implementation of a local sales and marketing strategy.
  • Result-oriented sales and supply of products in the responsible market segment based on strategic guidance from the headquarter.
  • Manages local supply chains and supports Corporate Supply Chain in optimizing distribution and logistics network.

3. Business Development and Strategy

  • Management, coordination of the K+S projects in Regional Sales Unit’s territory providing transparency in the K+S group and coordinating the further development of the general regional strategies.
  • Implementation of the Downstream business strategy.

Requirement:

1. Previous working experience as Managing Director.

2. At least a Master degree in Plant Nutrition / Agrochemistry with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience; preferably in the Chemical / Fertilizer Industry.

3. Hands on experience in development strategic and business plans.

4. In-depth knowledge of fertilizer market changes and forces that will influence the company.

5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

6. Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.

7. Problem solver able to keep calm and efficient under pressure and in crisis.
