HR Generalist

About the role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will support HR operations for our workforce of 200 employees, ensuring smooth HR processes across payroll administration, compliance, training, and employee engagement. You will work closely with leadership and employees to enhance HR functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and support key HR initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Payroll & Compensation:

1. Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
2. Support employee benefits administration, salary processing, and payroll reconciliations.
3. Assist in compliance with CPF contributions, tax deductions, and government reporting (e.g., IR8A, AIS submission).
4. Maintain payroll records and support payroll audits and tax reporting.
5. Assist in maintaining payroll workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

HR Compliance & Policies:

1. Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures to align with local labor laws and company guidelines.
2. Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and statutory reporting requirements.
3. Assist in HR audits and preparation of government-mandated reports.
4. Stay updated on employment laws, workplace safety, and HR compliance matters.
5. Support internal audits related to HR processes and ISMS (Information Security Management System) compliance.

Training & Development:

1. Coordinate onboarding programs and employee training initiatives.
2. Work with managers to identify training needs and track employee development.
3. Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and maintaining training records.
4. Document training workflows and SOPs to ensure consistency in learning delivery.

Performance Management & Employee Relations:

1. Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
2. Assist in employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work environment.
3. Provide guidance on HR policies and support employees with career development inquiries.
4. Assist in maintaining structured performance management processes and documentation.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 2–4 years of HR experience, with strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: payroll, compliance, training, or employee relations.
3. Good understanding of local labor laws, employment tax regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
4. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAP HR, Workday, QuickHR) is a plus.
