A leading company in the architecture and design sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth initiatives and enhance client relationships. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience, strong industry knowledge, and a proven track record in securing large-scale projects. This role involves leading a team, managing financial performance, and developing market strategies to expand the firm's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm's portfolio, targeting new sectors and geographies.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to inform business strategies.
Proposal Development: Oversee the preparation of high-quality proposals and presentations to secure new projects.
Brand Positioning: Enhance the firm's reputation through networking, thought leadership, and participation in industry events.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance related to business development activities.
Educational Background
A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, M.Arch) or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design or related field.
Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, RIBA, or marketing-related credentials) can be a plus.
Professional Experience
8-10+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the architecture, design, construction, or real estate sectors.
Proven track record in winning large-scale projects and managing client portfolios.
Prior leadership or senior managerial experience is typically expected.
