Job description

Job Function:

The ACMV Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems in building projects. They ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise ACMV installation and commissioning works.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with consultants, main contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare project schedules, work progress reports, and updates.
  • Supervise site work to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or engineering issues.
  • Coordinate with drafting and BIM teams for system drawings and as-built submissions.
  • Plan and manage material delivery schedules and equipment logistics.
  • Assist in testing & commissioning, handing over, and project close-out documentation.
  • Provide technical support and solutions throughout the project lifecycle

Job Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in ACMV system projects.
  • Familiarity with local codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, MS standard)

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ACMV/HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, VRV/VRF systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and MS Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
