About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Managing Director – Southeast Asia to lead our fast-growing operations across Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Thailand (Bangkok), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Vietnam. This executive role carries full regional responsibility for commercial growth, operational excellence, and strategic leadership.
You will work closely with the Group CEO to shape and drive regional initiatives, lead high-performing country teams, and build a strong footprint across Southeast Asia’s key markets.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Strategy & Market Growth
- Develop and execute business strategies tailored to each market within the SEA region.
- Lead the expansion of operations and optimize performance across all six countries.
- Identify market opportunities, forge regional partnerships, and drive competitive positioning.
Financial & Operational Leadership
- Full P&L accountability for Southeast Asia.
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, and reporting across all country offices.
- Ensure efficiency, scalability, and profitability in line with group objectives.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build and mentor cross-functional leadership teams in Singapore, Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Vietnam.
- Foster a high-performance and collaborative culture across geographies.
- Set and track KPIs, performance metrics, and professional development goals.
Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary regional representative for regulators, strategic partners, and key clients.
- Cultivate strong government, industry, and stakeholder relationships to support sustainable growth.
- Represent the region in global board meetings and strategic decision-making forums.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure all country operations adhere to local laws, compliance standards, and internal governance protocols.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks and operational controls.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably across multiple Southeast Asian countries.
- Proven track record in regional P&L ownership, strategic execution, and team leadership.
- Deep knowledge of at least 3–4 SEA markets, with strong operational insight into Singapore.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia.
