Job description

About the Role:
We are representing a globally renowned leader in precision engineering and scientific innovation, with a long-standing presence across international markets and a commitment to quality and excellence. As part of their growing Singapore finance team, they are looking for a detail-oriented and driven General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join them on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal postings for accruals, provisions, deferrals, and reclassifications

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, cash forecasts, and group reporting

  • Ensure full statutory compliance, including GST, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, and Transfer Pricing

  • Manage audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors and tax agents

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with the FP&A team

  • Conduct variance analysis and cost control measures

  • Drive process improvements, support SOP documentation, and participate in system implementation initiatives

  • Liaise with internal teams (HR, logistics, operations) and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, government bodies)

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in GL accounting and financial reporting

  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • High level of accuracy, initiative, and integrity
