An established industry player is seeking a dedicated engineer to enhance production capacity and optimize material costs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate materials forecasts, driving qualifications for new materials, and ensuring supply continuity. Your expertise in semiconductor processes will be crucial as you support investigations and implement safety systems. To contribute towards Soitec’s production capacity and product costing strategies through effective materials (chemical & gases) planning and budget control, and new materials qualification plans. Support Fab engineering investigations and Life safety system implementations & maintenance.
Maintain Materials Requirement forecast model with IE, with considerations not limited to Production Loading forecasts, past months’ materials usage & materials lead time.
Analyse monthly Materials Consumption trend to ensure supply continuity through accurate forecasting with minimum excess.
Drive new materials & second source materials qualifications for agility.
Assess new tool type requirement impact.
Maintain cost model based on chemical and gas usage.
Setup and maintain Life Safety System (LSS)
Backup for TGCM operations engineer.
Build technical know how of chemical and gas parameters influence to FAB processes.
Support Fab process investigation in event of any suspect due to Chemical or Gas influence
Drive new materials & second source materials qualifications for cost optimization.
Manage new material qualification and PCN issuance from supplier.
Constantly explore opportunities to prevent C&G issues that will result in production interruptions.
To undertake assignments / projects on top of the above routine tasks.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications :
B.Eng Degree – Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Candidates with Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineer or Chemisty will be added advantage.
Relevant Experience :
Experience as Process/Modules Engineer in a semiconductor plant.
Experience as Facilities Engineer for semiconductor process chemicals & gases.
Experience as Supplier Quality Engineer for chemicals and/or gases will also be considered.
Technical / Job Knowledge :
Familiar with semiconductor front end process materials (chemicals and gases) used.
Ability to generate relevant material requirement forecast reports with relations to new production loading forecasts.
Knowledge of basic factory cost structure, capex process and cost reduction methodologies.
Experience in product qualification of new materials.
Well verse with MS excel, MS word and MS power point.
Personal Capabilities :
Strong aptitude in mathematics and calculations; good number sense.
Logical, systematic and good attention to details.
Good communication skills, independent and team player to work, participate/lead in cross functional projects.
