Report to Board of Directors, you will work closely with the Executive Director and be responsible for managing the full range of matters related to trust administration.
The Job Descriptions:
In addition to your role as Trust Manager, you are expected to take up the appointment as Resident Manager.
As a Trust Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio client, providing high-quality fiduciary services, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
Your key duties will include but are not limited to:
- Be responsible for managing a portfolio of trust clients.
- Act as point of contact for clients, liaise with clients on the administration of trust and to attend to client queries, coordinate trust account activities, carry out trustee functions.
- Manages the administration functions of trusts and companies, taking full responsibility for fiduciary mandates.
- Perform and ensure timely periodic review of all trust accounts according to Company’s policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with lawyers, investment managers, auditors, bankers etc while carrying out the trust on-boarding/administration duties.
- Monitor and ensure accounts receivable for the clients under administration from time to time.
- Ensure clients’ database records are accurate and up to date and ensure safekeeping of records per Company’s policies and procedures.
- Promote an effective AML/CFT culture within the team.
- Consider and sign off trustee decisions within agreed parameters.
- Preparation for and participation in internal and external audits.
- Oversee audit issue-tracking and evidence-sighting.
- Responsible for providing timely client information to the Management Team as required.
- Responding to requests from accounting and control departments for information and clarification about accounts or related administrative issues.
The Requirements:
- A degree or professional qualification in law, accounting and related background.
- Min. 3 - 5 years’ working experience in the trust industry.
- STEP or WMI Advanced Certificate in Trust Services is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of fundamental trust law, company law and administrative practice.
- Ability to identify and anticipate risks occurring in the daily operation and administration.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially in a trust company setting e.g., MAS regulations, Anti-Money Laundering, Know-Your-Customer.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills, strong appreciation for confidentiality and good project management skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate complex issues effectively.
- Organised and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work well independently and within a team, in a dynamic environment.
- Able to articulate with Mandarin speaking clients.
