Job description

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic F&B Captain to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and will play a key role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests across our restaurant and lobby lounge.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

  1. Greet guests warmly and ensure they are seated promptly.
  2. Provide menus and introduce daily specials and promotions.
  3. Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen efficiently.
  4. Ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
  5. To have complete knowledge on the menu / service available / preparation methods and time in sections appointed.

Service Efficiency:

  1. Assist in setting up and clearing tables.
  2. Serve food and beverages in a professional manner.
  3. Ensure all service areas are clean and well-organised.

Support Team Operations:

  1. Assist colleagues as needed to ensure efficient service flow.
  2. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar colleagues to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  3. Help with the preparation of service areas before and after meal periods.

Promotions & Upselling:

  1. Suggest additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  2. Stay informed about menu changes and seasonal offerings.

Compliance & Safety:

  1. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards as required.
  2. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding the handling of food and beverages.

Inventory & Supplies:

  1. Monitor and restock service areas with necessary supplies.
  2. Report any shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Required skills and Qualifications:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Secondary School "O" Level, "N" Level or higher / Pre-U / A level / College, Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Food & Beverage / Professional Certificate/NiTEC.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role within the F&B industry in Singapore is an advantage.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work as part of a team.
  5. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  6. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
  7. Positive attitude and customer-focused.
  8. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Reliable and punctual.
  10. Excellent verbal, reading and written communication skills.
