About the Role

We’re representing a global leader in materials testing services, currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Singapore team. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is pivotal in expanding market presence, driving strategic growth, and building strong, long-term client relationships in the materials testing space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts.
  • Drive profitable growth through new client acquisition, reactivation of dormant accounts, and expansion of existing clients.
  • Conduct market intelligence and analysis to identify customer needs and emerging trends.
  • Deliver compelling business development presentations and proposals.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals in coordination with internal business development resources.
  • Represent the company at industry events and professional organizations to promote brand visibility.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, manage pipeline activities, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and sales teams to identify client solutions and cross-sell services.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and business opportunities.
  • Uphold company policies and ensure compliance with relevant safety and governance regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 8 years’ technical experience with a strong track record in B2B sales.
  • Bachelor's degree (Science or Engineering preferred; Materials Science highly regarded).
  • Experience in materials testing, metallurgy, or composites is advantageous.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical specifications and testing procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics AX, CRM, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Willingness to travel and represent the company externally when required.
