Group Risk Manager

Reporting to the Global Risk Team , you will support all areas of the business to identify, prioritize, and actively manage risks in alignment with the Dyson Risk framework. You will also provide close support to the Global Risk Director in the implementation of initiatives to embed risk management, understanding of key Group Risks, and delivery of reporting to the Executive and Board.

This role will provide for the right candidate a unique insight into how the Group operates internationally and involves some levels of exposure to senior management.

The role requires previous risk management experience, preferably within a large international consumer product business.

About the role

Support the implementation of the Dyson Risk Management Framework across the business in liaison with functions’ appointed Risk Champions.

Provide ongoing support over the identification, assessment, and management of risks at the functional level and quality monitor the functions Risk registers.

Assist and facilitate discussions on Dyson's Key Risks by conducting Deep Dives and coordinating thematic Risks reviews across different functions

Assist with the preparation of Risk related reporting to the Senior Management Team / Board of Director.

Actively promote a Risk-aware culture through training, communication, and cross sharing of risk information across the network of Risk Champions and the wider business, including emerging risks.

Ensure that significant risks and / or weaknesses in action plans are escalated appropriately.

Collaborate with Internal Audit and other 2nd line of defence functions to build measures to mitigate risks.

Contribute to other initiatives aimed at developing and improving the Group Risk function.

Administer and maintain the risk management system.

Pragmatic approach to risk management and problem solving, avoiding a compliance / ‘tick box’ mindset.

Ability to communicate risk information / processes clearly and succinctly to stakeholders.

Experience in developing relationships with senior management across all areas of the business and to influence them to drive action.

Demonstrates the highest levels of integrity at all times.

Attention to detail and ability to deliver projects concurrently.

Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver high quality results.

About you

6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a consumer product environment

Demonstrable experience of partnering with business functions in a large matrix organisation

Professional qualification in Risk Management (e.g. IRM) or other relevant areas of Internal Controls / Governance / Accounting would be beneficial
