Trade Finance Executive (Import/Export Checker)

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Trade Operations Specialist to manage the daily operations of export/import processes, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and in full compliance with internal and external regulations. This role will support the Trade Finance team and collaborate with various teams, including Transaction Banking Products and Sales, Business Units, and Customers, to ensure smooth and effective operational processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle daily export/import operations, ensuring that all tasks are executed smoothly and efficiently.

- Provide comprehensive support to the Trade Finance team, including responding to inquiries from Transaction Banking Products, Sales teams, Business Units, AML Team, and customers.

- Participate in projects and tasks as assigned, ensuring clarity and understanding in execution and delivery.

- Ensure operational procedures, SLAs, and regulatory requirements are maintained and regularly reviewed for potential improvements.

- Ensure strict adherence to AA terms, internal SPI standards, and regulatory guidelines in all trade operations.

- Facilitate clear and effective communication between teams to ensure smooth workflows and understanding of each team member's responsibilities.

- Continuously assess daily work volumes and proactively seek help when necessary to prevent disruption in the team's work process.

- Review current processes to minimize manual work, eliminate inefficiencies, and streamline operations.

- Provide fast and accurate responses to internal and external stakeholders.

- Support lending units in trade utilization and the processing of new products.

- Advise internal and external customers on trade documentation and processes, ensuring they understand all relevant details and requirements.

- Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and provide solutions that align with their expectations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum diploma in any related field (preferably banking, finance, commodities, or related fields).

- At least 6 years of experience in trade operations or a related field, with a strong understanding of trade finance processes.

- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while managing high volumes of work and changing priorities.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and report unusual patterns in trade documents.

- A team player with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a strong work ethic.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and share knowledge, skills, and insights.

- Willingness to suggest and implement improvements to processes, as well as actively discuss and address discrepancies or issues that arise in trade documents.

- Ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
