Operation Specialist (Metal Trading)

Location: Singapore

Our Client:

Our client is a global MNC with metal production and recycling facilities. They are currently seeking an Operation Specialist to support trading activities and ensure seamless execution of metal products trading.

The Responsibilities:

1. Manage contract-to-cash transactions accurately and in compliance with internal policies.
2. Prepare and handle full sets of export shipping documents, including payment follow-ups and LC negotiations.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing for commercial operations.
5. Support customers in placing LME-related hedges in accordance with contract terms.
6. Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
7. Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance in all transactional work.

The Requirements:

1. Strong operational experience with a background in trade operations or customer service.
2. Familiarity with SAP system, good understanding of Incoterms and UCP600; knowledge of LME is advantageous.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Proactive, self-driven, team player with a problem-solving mindset, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
