About the role

Sunlight Electrical Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee the successful delivery of our electrical engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee project budgets to ensure financial accountability and cost control.

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans to meet client requirements and company objectives

• Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, support and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes

• Ensure all projects and services are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.

• Conduct weekly reviews of project progress, contract milestones, and submission of reports to clients.

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, principals, and internal teams to resolve technical issues related to products, systems, and installations.

• Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed

• Communicate project status and performance to key stakeholders, including clients and senior management

• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure efficient project delivery

• Collaborate with sales and project teams to schedule and deploy Service Engineers and Technicians effectively for installations and project support.

• Ensure projects adhere to all relevant safety, quality and compliance standards

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Director in the electrical engineering industry

• Proven track record of successfully leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from conception to completion

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects effectively

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, team members and stakeholders

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and best practices

• Proficient in project management software and tools

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
