Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge AI-driven solutions and automated NDE (ultrasonic) technologies for advanced inspection systems. This role involves designing and implementing AI-enhanced signal processing, machine learning models, and automated data interpretation to tackle complex inspection challenges in various industrial applications. If you are passionate about AI, ultrasonic inspection, and solution design, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on experimentation using ultrasonic testing technologies, integrating AI enhanced signal processing to improve defect detection and classification.

  • Research and develop ultrasonic testing techniques, including advanced phased array algorithms and AI models based on inspection requirements.

  • Implement AI (machine learning and deep learning techniques) to enhance ultrasonic data interpretation, defect characterization, and automation of inspection workflows.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand project requirements, translating into tasks and deliver high quality solutions

  • Document research findings, experimental results, and developed AI-assisted ultrasonic inspection methodologies for future reference and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasonic testing, AI, and automation to drive continuous innovation in inspection technologies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in AI-driven ultrasonic inspection, including signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning applications for defect detection and classification.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++, with experience in AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for ultrasonic data processing being a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative inspection solutions.

  • Strong communication and excellent writing skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a team player with strong communication skills.
