Job description

What the role is:

This is a 2-year secondment opportunity for a public officer passionate about shaping ideas and advancing thought leadership in governance and policy. As Lead Researcher, you will drive research exploring how the Public Service can navigate emerging challenges, build stronger institutions, and govern more effectively. You will work on complex topics such as governance models, technology for the Public Service, institutional trust, innovation, and policy development.

What you will be working on:
  • Lead major research projects that surface new perspectives and deepen understanding of critical public sector issues
  • Publish and present insights to inform strategy, learning, and practice across the Public Service
  • Convene high-level discussions, panels, or workshops with public sector leaders, domain experts, and thought partners
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including CSC Fellows and senior public officers
