Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets within the automation industry.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential clients in sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, FMCG etc.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Present and promote automation solutions, including hardware (PLCs, sensors, drives, robotics) and software (SCADA, MES, IIoT).
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to provide tailored solutions based on client needs.
  • Lead contract negotiations and prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed on industry trends and customer demands.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking activities to enhance company visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A background in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in automation or industrial sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of automation products and solutions (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, motion control, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
