Job description

The selected candidate will conduct R&D in an IAF-PP project to develop new delivery platform for targeted delivery of bio-based anticancer reagents to tumors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Synthesize and characterize polymers for biomedical applications
  • Fabricate and characterize crosslinked hydrogels/microgels.
  • Develop manufacturing processes including optimization of processing parameters.
  • Communicate and work with collaborators at NUS and NUH in biological testing of microgels/hydrogels
  • Perform material characterizations and testing.
  • Prepare technical reports for technical disclosures, patents, and publications

Job Requirement

  • Diploma in organic chemistry or material (polymer engineering) engineering
  • Having strong analytical skills (applying scientific rules and analytical methods) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions/approaches to problems
  • Basic understanding of chemical characterization techniques including NMR, UV-Vis, and FTIR
  • Experiences in characterizations and testing of polymers, such as DSC, GPC, TGA and rheology
  • Familiarity with design software
  • Good written and communication skills
