Regional IT Lead (Client Facing), APAC

What the day will look like

  1. Client-Focused & Pre-Sales Activities
  • Represent CTS in client-facing discussions, both technical and strategic, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Support technology pre-sales efforts including RFP responses, solution design, and platform demonstrations.
  1. Platform & Operational Leadership
  • Lead operational support and delivery for PathWise clients globally.
  • Manage client production runs, systems availability, performance, and incident response.
  • Oversee cloud (AWS/Azure), Linux/Windows systems administration, and on-premise/hybrid deployments.
  • Drive continuous improvement across compute infrastructure, security, disaster recovery, and performance.
  1. Program & Delivery Management
  • Manage complex multi-client delivery programs and service contracts.
  • Ensure delivery timelines, scope, dependencies, and risk are effectively managed.
  • Track and report on product issues, schedules, and deliverables.
  1. Security & Compliance
  • Support Aon’s annual security audits, including SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
  • Drive compliance with security standards, internal policies, and CTS environment controls.
  • Partner with Aon’s security teams and strategic vendors (“strategic defenders”) to maintain a robust security posture.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Product Oversight
  • Work closely with senior leadership, product management, consulting, client success, and sales.
  • Support pre-sales and marketing activities, including demos and RFP responses.
  • Act as a voice of the client within CTS, ensuring needs are met and communicated clearly.
  • Promote Aon’s 3x3 model and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
  1. Technical Leadership & Team Management
  • Work with cross-functional teams responsible for installation, server builds, storage, network, directory services, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure environment readiness, continuous monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Mentor and guide team members in delivery excellence and professional development.
  • Work closely with sales, consulting, and product teams to translate client needs into technical delivery strategies.
  • Ensure seamless transitions from pre-sales engagement to operational delivery.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client objectives to proactively find opportunities for enhancement or expansion.
  • Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders during onboarding, critical issues, and ongoing strategic reviews.
  • Promote client satisfaction and retention through clear communication, consistent performance, and value delivery.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in technical program management, infrastructure, or platform support.
  • Strong background in systems administration (Linux/Windows), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and high-performance computing.
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks and audit processes (SOC, ISO).
  • Experience supporting actuarial, risk, or capital modeling systems is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with professional services, product delivery, or running long-term client contracts.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) and/or security certifications (CISSP, ISO lead auditor).
