THE ROLE
Senior Accountant
We’re looking for a confident and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our financial operations. From managing reporting cycles to reconciling payments and budgets, you’ll play a hands-on part in keeping our numbers sharp and our systems running efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Management
- Review project analysis in Smartsheet and ensure revenue is recognised in a timely manner
- Close jobs in the system once fully billed and finalised
- Work with client teams to ensure all PEs are submitted before revenue recognition, and confirm budget baselines match approved CEs
Accounts Receivable
- Coordinate with the accounts team to deliver accurate and prompt billing
- Generate client and intercompany invoices and credit notes on schedule
- Prepare client account statements and post receipt journals for incoming payments
Accounts Payable
- Set up new vendor records in the system
- Record and review accounts payable entries, verifying against purchase orders
- Reconcile out-of-pocket costs and align payment schedules with account teams
- Review payment requests, ensuring required client funds are received before disbursement
- Process purchase order invoices, staff reimbursements, and salary payments through banking
General Ledger
- Post month-end journals and audit general ledger activity for accuracy
- Work with intercompany partners to resolve monthly variances
- Conduct thorough reviews of profit and loss statements and balance sheet schedules
Payroll
- Review payroll disbursements submitted by the external provider
- Reconcile monthly salary data and post related accounting entries
Reporting
- Prepare flash reports and month-end pre-close files
- Conduct variance analysis and populate detailed income reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and FX revaluations
- Finalise balance schedules and update TM1 data for month-end close
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forward plans, and quarterly reforecasts
Tax
- Compile and reconcile monthly input and output tax data
- Manage monthly and quarterly tax declarations, including VAT and withholding tax
- Prepare and review corporate income tax filings (SG)
Audit
- Gather and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Help enforce and maintain financial controls and policies
Ad Hoc
- Take part in weekly finance team meetings
- Provide support on general office admin tasks in collaboration with HR/FD
- Carry out one-off financial analysis as needed by leadership or teams
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven accounting experience, ideally within a creative agency or similar environment
- Skilled in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel and Word)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative and proactive mindset
- Professionally qualified or working towards qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
