The hiring company, an import-export enterprise specializing in African and Singapore markets, seeks a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the company's growth and expansion within emerging economic markets across Africa and Singapore.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and strengthening the company's business relationships with African and Singapore markets. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification: Actively search for new business opportunities in African markets, analyzing market trends, identifying potential customer needs, and evaluating competitors.
Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential business partners, including distributors, agents, suppliers, and customers, to develop mutually beneficial business opportunities.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to promote the company's products in African ans Singapore markets, in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead business negotiations, develop competitive proposals, and secure favorable business deals for the company.
Client Management: Ensure regular follow-up with existing clients, manage any issues that may arise, and identify new growth opportunities.
Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market and competitor developments, providing analysis and recommendations to maintain the company's competitiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (international business, management, marketing, etc.).
Relevant professional experience in business development and sales, ideally in the import-export sector and/or African markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Strong results orientation and ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in English, knowledge of African or french languages would be an asset to liaise with the clients and the suppliers.
