Job Opportunity: Construction Manager

Project Details:

  • Contract-based position for the Tuas New Project (April to October 2025)
  • Contract starting from 29 January 2024, estimated duration of 27 months for the Changi Naval Base Project

Working Conditions:

  • Work days: 5.5 days/week, 8am to 5pm, alternate Saturdays full day
  • Salary: $7,000 to $9,000 (dependent on experience)

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; recognition from BCA universities is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, preferably in marine construction companies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all construction activities, ensuring performance, procedures, and recommending improvements to project managers
  • Manage contractors focusing on quality, compliance, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate with engineering teams supporting construction activities
  • Assist in developing and implementing construction policies
  • Ensure timely project delivery with minimal wastage
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers
  • Coordinate with other departments and liaise with government authorities, consultants, clients, and suppliers
  • Provide regular project progress reports and participate in project meetings
  • Develop and guide a multicultural workforce and management team to meet organizational objectives and legal standards
  • Ensure quality assurance and ISO standards are maintained
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required
