Technical Sales Manager – Flavours
Location: Singapore (HQ)
Employment Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri 9am-6pm)

Role Overview

You'll lead technical sales efforts, connecting our R&D capabilities with clients' manufacturing needs across Asia. With both technical expertise and relationship-building skills, you'll translate complex flavour chemistry into solutions that serve product developers and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complete sales cycles: prospect, qualify, present technical proposals and close deals

  • Conduct on-site trials and bench tests; analyze sensory and analytical data for clients

  • Build long-term partnerships with F&B manufacturers across the region

  • Monitor market trends to identify new growth opportunities

  • Represent AFF at industry events, seminars and customer workshops

  • Collaborate with R&D team to develop client-specific solutions

  • Provide technical support during product launch and scale-up phases

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Food Science, Chemistry or related technical field

  • 5+ years technical sales experience in flavours, fragrances or food ingredients

  • Strong knowledge of flavour chemistry: volatility, stability, solubility and release profiles

  • Proven track record meeting or exceeding sales targets in B2B environments

  • Excellent communication skills: can explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences

  • Willingness to travel within the region (up to 40%)

  • Consultative approach: listen first, then recommend tailored solutions

  • Collaborative mindset: work effectively with R&D, operations and marketing teams

  • Entrepreneurial drive: identify market opportunities and pursue them proactively

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin preferred
