Your role

Are you an experienced business development professional with a passion for Alternative investments? Do you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you can build up new businesses and negotiate strategic partnerships? Are you skilled in managing complex sales processes and can capture the attention of sophisticated, institutional investors?

We are seeking an Alternatives Investment Specialist to drive the growth of our global (ex US) wholesale business for Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) by building strategic partnerships with distribution partners and wholesale clients. This role is critical in expanding our footprint in this client segment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales, developing new relationships, and deepening existing ones to drive growth. This is a highly collaborative role that requires a strong team player with a deep understanding of alternative investments including private markets, real assets, and hedge funds, and the ability to drive engagement with sophisticated investors. We are looking for an Alternatives Investment Specialist to:

  • Identify the main distribution partners across wealth managers, private banks, family offices, and institutional clients in each market.
  • Develop strategic distribution plans for your markets and execute on them in conjunction with the local teams.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with UGA’s target clients in close collaboration with the local generalist coverage teams.
  • Provide tailored investment solutions, working closely with investment teams to align offerings with client needs.
  • Run new product initiatives with stakeholders across Investments and Generalist Sales and contribute to product development by providing market feedback on investor demand and emerging trends.
  • Act as a thought leader, providing insights and market intelligence to partners and clients.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and investment insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cover private clients alongside wholesale distributors in select markets to bring the best of UGA to our partners.
Your team

You’ll be working in UGA’s Wholesale & Partnerships team, reporting into the Global (ex US) Head of Wholesale & Partnerships for UGA.

Your expertise
  • Ideally 10+ years of experience in alternatives distribution, investment sales, investment banking, or private markets with a strong track record in strategic partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of alternative asset classes, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets.
  • Strong ability to manage long sales cycles and build high-quality relationships with wholesale and institutional investors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • A team player with strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively across teams and functions, and excellent at building trusted relationships with external and internal partners.
  • A great communicator and negotiator, and excellent listener with high standards for client service. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.
