Job description

This is an ambitious asset-backed energy trading firm, with business interests in both conventional and transition energy. To support the growth ambitions, there is now a newly created role for an FP&A lead to take on FP&A, management reporting and finance business process re-engineering projects. This is an individual contributor role for now.

Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the FP&A lead will utilize accounting and finance data to generate management reports and insights, deepening understanding of business performance and enhancing decision-making. Collaboration with the accounting and finance team is essential. Responsibilities include providing analyzed information, assessing business performance for forecasting, identifying opportunities for the commercial team, and process optimization to improve data integrity and business capabilities.

Requirements

The candidate should be CA qualified with a degree in accounting and finance, and possess 10-15 years of experience in energy or commodities trading. Experience with trading P&L, reconciliation, market risk, middle office, or product control in energy trading is preferred. Excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently under pressure are essential.
