Financial Analyst on IT Project Accounting (based in Singapore)
Our client is one of the Top Global Software Vendors. They are seeking a brilliant candidate with experience in Project Accounting in the IT Industry based in Singapore, covering ASEAN regions.
Responsibilities:
Involve in Contract Negotiations with Sales Team and Clients and apply your revenue recognition knowledge to maximize the revenue and to avoid deferred revenue recognition.
Create financial reports specially designed to track the financial progress and revenue recognition of each phase of the projects used by project managers.
Track, report and analyze financial results and implications of the software projects.
Analyze complex deal structures and potential revenue impact on multiple deal scenarios.
Perform analysis on cost and savings on new business acquisitions, organizational changes, etc.
Get familiar with the company’s financial policies in order to explain the policies to the newly acquired companies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with solid accounting and financial analysis skills.
Around 3 to 5 years of Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Audit experience in the IT Industry, preferably from an AUDIT FIRM.
Strong Accounting background with CPA or ACCA qualification is required.
Knowledge of Project Accounting methods such as Percentage of Completion.
Knowledge of updated Revenue Recognition standards in the Software Industry such as IFRS15 and ASC606.
Experience in Revenue Recognition (such as maximizing the revenue recognition in a contract) is preferable.
Ability to face challenges from Sales Teams (on revenue recognition which affects their incentives) and Clients (on contract terms which affect revenue recognition).
Positive attitude, independent, stable, with strong analytical skills are desired qualities.
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English.
Willingness to be trained and take on new challenges.
