Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an HR Business Partner to provide support to our TikTok Engineering teams. You will be responsible for employee relations, retention, supporting initiatives such as performance reviews, and improving existing processes and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business. As we continue to grow rapidly, you will also assist in building innovative programs to support our R&D teams as they scale.

Our organization follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 4 days a week or as directed by their manager/department. This model is regularly reviewed and may change at any time.

  • Partner with your assigned business unit(s) to implement high-quality HR practices.
  • Manage employee disciplinary issues and advise business leaders on case management.
  • Consult with line management and provide HR guidance on talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Assess team and employee development needs, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in HR operations, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and other teams to execute solutions.
  • Drive employee engagement within your business unit(s).
  • Represent TikTok’s organizational culture.
  • Plan and organize organizational culture activities.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent HR experience.
  • At least 4 years of HR experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Experience with performance management, employee relations, and data analytics/reporting.
  • Proven project management and change management skills, with the ability to independently drive programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in human resources or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience building relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to adapt work style to meet organizational needs, including those of global team members and cross-functional partners.
