Job description

As a Medical Statistician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Collaborate closely with researchers to provide biostatistical support, including but not limited to study design, sample size calculations, data analysis, development of statistical analysis plans, and writing relevant sections of methods, results, and discussion for manuscripts or other publications, as well as responding to reviewers' feedback.

  • Utilize mathematical and statistical methods to ethically and efficiently analyze research data, employing the latest techniques.

  • Partner with researchers in the development of study protocols and design of case report forms.

  • Assist in drafting the statistics section of various documents, including research proposals, grant applications for funding agencies, scientific manuscripts for publication, and help researchers address reviewers’ comments.

  • Generate randomization codes for investigator-initiated clinical trials in an impartial manner.

  • Interpret the results of statistical analyses for researchers, clinicians, and organisation staff, translating findings into understandable insights and providing guidance on their application in write-ups.

  • Process research data by compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information to ensure accuracy.

  • Deliver presentations or workshops on specialized topics or related subjects, as well as other seminars and training sessions.

  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager, or Head of Department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in statistics or mathematics or related fields.

  • Experience Proficient in statistical software especially SPSS and STATA etc.
