Data Center Operator

General roles and responsibilities:

1. Physical escort for visitors
2. Ensuring the data center (DC) is in standard operation (e.g., reporting air conditioning breakdowns, cooling needs)
3. Monitoring, coordinating, and reporting the environmental conditions of the server/equipment room
4. Ensuring no unauthorized visitors
5. Securing the DC at all times
6. Routine checks within the DC
7. Work hours: 12-hour rotating shifts, with 4 days on and 3 days off
8. Operation: 24x7 coverage

Essential skills and experience:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, NiTec, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
2. 2-3 years of experience in Data Center Operations
3. Pleasant personality
4. Willingness to support and mentor junior staff
5. Excellent customer-facing and customer service skills
6. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, including out-of-hours work
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
