Job Responsibilities

Lighting

• Support production lighting staff as directed by the Head of Department (HOD) or Supervisor.
• Understand and help enforce MBS safety procedures and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Hang, focus, repair, and maintain lighting equipment under the supervision of the lighting supervisor.
• Ensure tasks and projects are completed on time to support team productivity.

Audio

• Support all stage sound and video operations for shows and events within the theatre.
• Ensure production requirements are met.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Audio/Visual (A/V) systems and inventory.

Staging

• Operate and maintain theatrical rigging and staging equipment and systems.
• Use various hand tools and machinery for installation, repairs, and maintenance.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain staging systems and inventory.
• Maintain Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards within the theatre in the areas of staging and rigging.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Work-At-Heights certification.

Experience

• Experience in the entertainment, theatre, or events industry.

Other Prerequisites

• Depending on the position, competence in lighting, audio/AV, or staging duties is required.
