Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Kallang, Singapore.

What a typical day looks like:
  1. Maintaining relations with suppliers.
  2. Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
  3. Receiving and handling confirmations.
  4. Checking and modifying purchase orders based on production plan changes, utilizing the Shortage List and Open Purchase Order List.
  5. Tracking shipments and following up as needed.
  6. Weekly stock checks to avoid overstocking.
  7. Minimizing obsolescence risk through weekly obsolete report reviews.
  8. Corresponding with freight forwarders and warehouses, and organizing transportation if necessary.
  9. Handling claims and settling debit and credit issues.
  10. Filing and recording all necessary documents.
  11. Checking inventory of critical materials and addressing discrepancies with warehouse personnel.
  12. Managing purchasing data privacy.
  13. Ensuring timely availability of active components at the right price for production needs.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
  1. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices.
  2. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of procurement experience.
