About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Investment Manager to join our retail company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and securing investors, particularly within the retail or consumer goods sector. In addition to investment activities, the candidate must possess strong financial acumen and leadership abilities to effectively manage our finance team and support financial planning, analysis, and strategy.

What you'll be doing

• Identify, engage, and secure potential investors to support the company’s growth and expansion.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals.

• Develop and present compelling investment proposals, pitch decks, and financial models.

• Lead due diligence processes and manage investor communications.

• Collaborate with senior management on fundraising strategies and capital structuring.

• Supervise and guide the finance team in day-to-day financial operations.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and reporting standards.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in investment management, capital raising, or financial leadership roles in the retail industry.

• Strong network and proven ability to raise funds from investors.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights

• Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting

• Solid knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and budgeting.
