About the Department

Our team consists of specialists in business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support. We leverage technology to enhance our physical and digital banking services and operations, including developing, centralizing, and standardizing systems and processes in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

The Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements aligned with UOB standards. They work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and expected outcomes.

Requirements Analysis & Elicitation
  • Collaborate with Private Bank BU Specialists to elicit and review requirements.
  • Analyze and document current and future business and operational processes, performing impact assessments.
  • Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements based on business needs.
  • Manage risks and scope creep related to requirements.
  • Understand the existing technology landscape for seamless integration.
  • Engage stakeholders to streamline systems and processes.
  • Establish new procedures as needed with operational teams.
  • Maintain requirement traceability matrices and review capabilities against BRD.
  • Manage change within the analysis phase and review functional specifications.
  • Support incident investigations and resolutions.
Team Collaboration
  • Ensure clear understanding of requirements when transitioning to System Analysts.
  • Work under supervision to derive solutions and translate requirements into test scenarios with Test Managers.
  • Conduct training on application enhancements and maintain knowledge base.
Testing & Scope Management
  • Review test cases, support SIT/UAT, and clarify findings.
  • Classify findings and assess impacts of change requests.
Job Requirements
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of relevant banking experience, with mandatory private banking and investment product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of regulatory changes, especially in sales and advisory processes.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and best practices in technology and operations.
  • Experience in scoping, evaluation, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and process design skills.
  • Resourceful, diligent, and capable of thriving in ambiguity.
