Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee shipping and forwarding operations for Air and Sea Freight, as well as Professional Logistics services.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop, and source new customers for contract logistics and transportation.
• Expand freight forwarding business, especially in container consolidation in Japan.
• Negotiate contracts with forwarders and carriers to secure the best rates and services, maximizing profit.
• Manage and develop strategies to improve sales.
• Resolve issues related to logistics systems, imports/exports, transportation, or customer service.
• Create and implement shipping policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate sales records and quotations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of import/export regulations and insurance for Japan & international freight forwarding.
• Possess a customs competency test for Declarants Certificate with Singapore Customs.
• High proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N1) to communicate effectively with Japan HQ and Japanese customers.
• Ability to react quickly and work well under pressure and tight schedules.
• Good team player with integrity, interpersonal skills, organization, and time management skills.
• Proven experience in business development.
