A leading educational technology company is seeking a Curriculum Developer to shape English learning experiences. This hybrid role involves designing engaging curriculum materials, overseeing AI content generation, and ensuring high pedagogical quality. This is a hybrid role that blends deep subject-matter expertise in English with innovation leadership at the intersection of curriculum, technology, and delivery. You will be responsible for developing high-quality English learning materials aligned to curriculum standards, while also overseeing an AI-powered English curriculum generation engine to scale content creation with precision and care.
You will play a strategic role in shaping how students learn English online—integrating technology, guiding AI, managing curriculum data, and ensuring high pedagogical quality across both digital and blended learning environments. Your understanding of how online learning differs from traditional pen-and-paper instruction will be key in designing engaging, effective, and personalized learning experiences for today’s learners.
Develop curriculum-aligned English content, including lesson materials, assessment items, and learning activities, tailored to the developmental needs of P1–P6 learners.
Design clear Schemes of Work and skills progressions that align with the Singapore MOE syllabus.
Ensure materials are age-appropriate, engaging, and optimized for both print and digital delivery formats.
Oversee the use of AI systems (e.g., GPT, RAG) to generate English questions, answers, and feedback aligned with MOE standards and curriculum intent.
Write, test, and refine prompts to produce high-quality, level-appropriate AI-generated learning content.
Manage the structured reference data (e.g., skills maps, tagged exemplars, curriculum ontologies) that powers AI content generation.
Develop and maintain QA workflows to vet AI outputs at scale for accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical value.
Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve generation reliability, reduce hallucinations, and ensure content safety.
Document prompt libraries, QA protocols, and curriculum baselines for systematic review and continuous improvement.
Integrate educational technology into curriculum design to support differentiated, adaptive, and gamified learning experiences for primary-level learners.
Work closely with learning designers and engineers to prototype and implement interactive features such as progress feedback, XP-based rewards, and mini challenges.
Leverage learning analytics to inform content refinement and learner personalization.
Stay current with developments in AI and edtech to recommend innovations that enhance learning outcomes, engagement, and scalability.
Ensure consistency, clarity, and instructional quality across all curriculum materials.
Monitor curriculum updates and ensure timely alignment with changes in the MOE English syllabus.
Develop content QA frameworks and content tagging systems to support future scalability and content reuse.
Coordinate with platform, content, and deployment teams to gather feedback and improve curriculum efficacy in an AI-enhanced learning environment.
A good university degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
Deep familiarity with the Primary 1–6 English curriculum and MOE’s assessment standards.
Experience designing curriculum, lessons, and assessment tasks for primary school learners.
Strong editorial and writing skills, with an eye for clarity, developmental appropriateness, and tone.
Understanding of how online learning differs from traditional learning in pedagogy, feedback, and engagement.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple content pipelines and delivery milestones.
Experience using or managing AI content tools (e.g., GPT, RAG systems) for educational content generation.
Familiarity with prompt engineering, content tagging systems, and knowledge base design.
Exposure to data and AI systems, edtech platforms, gamification mechanics, or adaptive learning tools.
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including curriculum writers, product managers, engineers, and designers.

Compensation:
SGD $6,000 – $7,500/month, with potential equity participation for long-term contributors.
