Job description

Accountant / Senior Accountant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reports for the Group and all entities, providing key financial insights and performance analysis.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections to maintain smooth cash flow.
  • Review and reconcile monthly vendor accounts, and process vendor payments in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate processing of all financial transactions and maintain up-to-date and precise financial records.
  • Monitor and manage daily banking functions, ensuring smooth cash management and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and timely submission of GST returns and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and statutory audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance and accounting functions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage and involve in due diligence exercise.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional accounting certification preferred, e.g. business central and xero accounting software).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial control role, preferably within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
