Accountant / Senior Accountant
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly management reports for the Group and all entities, providing key financial insights and performance analysis.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections to maintain smooth cash flow.
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor accounts, and process vendor payments in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate processing of all financial transactions and maintain up-to-date and precise financial records.
- Monitor and manage daily banking functions, ensuring smooth cash management and operations.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and timely submission of GST returns and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate and manage internal and statutory audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely audit processes.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance and accounting functions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage and involve in due diligence exercise.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional accounting certification preferred, e.g. business central and xero accounting software).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial control role, preferably within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
