Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Sonographer to join our private healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and small parts imaging.
2. Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
3. Evaluate images for quality, ensuring diagnostic usefulness before submitting to the physician for interpretation.
4. Collaborate with referring physicians to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with clinic policies and PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act).
6. Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
7. Follow infection control and clinic safety protocols.
8. Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound from a recognized institution.
2. Fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
3. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sonography preferred (new graduates may be considered).
4. Proficiency in performing a wide range of ultrasound scans (e.g., general, obstetrics, gynaecology, vascular).
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Additional certification in specialty ultrasound modalities is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in a private clinic or outpatient setting.
2. Familiarity with digital imaging systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
