About the role
Facilities & Technical Operations
Oversee daily operations of M&E systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lift systems, BMS, and other critical building infrastructure.
Support the managers to deliver the preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all facilities under management.
Ensure all works are carried out according to maintenance schedules, SOPs, safety standards, and client expectations.
People & Resource Management
Lead a team of Managers and engineers – responsible for recruitment, training, performance reviews, and team motivation.
Manage contractor and vendor performance for outsourced services (e.g., specialist maintenance, equipment supply, testing and commissioning).
Client Management & Reporting
Serve as the main client liaison for technical operations, ensuring clear communication and proactive service delivery.
Attend regular client meetings to present reports, resolve issues, and provide performance updates.
Submit detailed monthly and quarterly operations reports, including maintenance KPIs, incident logs, cost analysis, and improvement plans.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
Lead audits and inspections (internal and external), implement corrective actions, and maintain complete documentation for compliance.
Manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Financial & Contractual Oversight
Develop and manage operating budgets for assigned contracts, including forecasting, cost tracking, and optimization of resources.
Monitor contract scope, variations, and deliverables, and support renewal, tendering, or negotiation processes.
Track asset lifecycle, manage spares inventory, and optimize procurement for cost efficiency and equipment uptime.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions for energy savings, workflow automation, and system reliability improvements.
Propose and execute technical upgrades, retrofits, and modernization initiatives.
About you
Degree or diploma in electrical engineering (building services or facilities engineering is an added advantage). Professional certifications (e.g., FSM, Green Mark, LEW) are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in M&E operations within facilities management, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role overseeing large properties or portfolios (e.g., commercial, hospital, data center, residential, or industrial buildings).
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of M&E systems and infrastructure; strong familiarity with local codes and standards (e.g., Fire Code, WSH, CP83, CP13, SS 532, etc.).
Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, crisis and contract management, data-driven decision making, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
Others: Proficient in MS Office, CMMS/CAFM systems, and incident management tools. Willing to travel across sites and respond to emergencies on short notice.
