Job Title: M&E Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineer to join their construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing M&E works in building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the execution of mechanical and electrical works on-site.
2. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of M&E installations.
3. Review M&E drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
4. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
5. Identify and resolve M&E-related technical issues in coordination with project teams.
6. Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
7. Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, progress updates, and inspection records.
8. Liaise with authorities to ensure M&E works comply with statutory requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&E works within the construction industry.
3. Strong understanding of M&E systems, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
4. Experience in managing M&E subcontractors and suppliers.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting M&E drawings and specifications.
6. Familiarity with industry software and project management tools is an advantage.
