Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Analyze budgets, prepare annual budget plans, schedule expenditures, and ensure that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.
  • Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understand consumer requirements, identify market trends, and suggest system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
  • Gather, investigate, and summarize market data and trends to draft reports.
  • Implement new sales plans and advertising strategies, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to increase sales.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Ensure that the store is clean and well-maintained at all times.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with customers.
  • Ensure that the store is adequately stocked with company products.
  • Anticipate and resolve potential problems or issues, working within seasonal marketing budgets.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules and standards.
  • Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and identifying new marketing opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the food/spice/agro sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in B2B sales, wholesale/retail packaging experience preferred.
  • Preferably experienced in wholesale/retail packaging and knowledgeable about wholesale trade product distribution through various channels.
  • Must have knowledge of Indian spices and herbs.
  • Understanding of supply chain/logistics, especially in the spice industry.
  • Understanding of food products, storage, transportation, and the cold chain.
  • Ability to identify and develop new wholesale channels, such as regional distributors, international markets, or online B2B platforms.
  • Possession of 2A/2B/Class 3 licenses is required; owning transport is preferred. Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, longer hours, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays, with days off on weekdays.
  • Fieldwork involved, including delivery duties when necessary.
  • Preferably bilingual to communicate with Indian-speaking suppliers and vendors.
  • Knowledge of storage temperatures for spices, dry fruits, and plants.
  • A proactive individual with a positive attitude, responsible for sales targets.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, networking, and negotiation skills, customer-focused.
