Job summary

A leading aerospace company is seeking a Material Planner to oversee the planning and scheduling of materials necessary for production. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, supporting inventory management, and ensuring operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Engineering or Supply Chain, along with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in materials planning and procurement in Aerospace or Manufacturing industry preferred.

  • Job Description Summary

    Plan, schedule and expedite all materials needed to meet production schedules. Monitor suppliers’ performance and establish processes to ensure timely delivery, optimum inventory level, reduced costs and system integrity. Participate in continuous improvement to support company's goals and objectives

Hiring Requirements
  • Role & Responsibilities:

    • Plan, schedule and expedite direct materials needed to support production schedules.

    • Monitor the status of purchase orders with Central Supply Chain and/or Suppliers to ensure timely delivery and communicate status of orders with internal customers.

    • Support material planning group in efforts to meet delivery and inventory turn performance goals.

    • Provide support in material issues related to engineering changes, new product start-up, and Request for Quotation (RFQ) for site.

    • Responsible for tracking Material Planning & Delivery Assurance metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.

    • Support inventory planning & management, materials availability and supplier replenishment strategies.

    • Develop and ensure standard operational practices, methods and procedures.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field

    • At least 3 years’ of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing environment

    • Strong Microsoft office skills with good analytical/problem solving abilities.

    • Experience in SAP system.

    • Experience in materials planning and procurement of Direct and Indirect / MRO materials in Aerospace or Manufacturing industry preferred.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

    • Ability to manage tight deadlines, highly organize, and prioritize work independently.
